I was thinking about our current situation...and how I hope that this night sees no tragedy.

However, I am also prepared for the worse, so that my expectations are accordingly kept to ready myself for any outcome.

[ Serious and focused as usual, it seems. ]

[So it seems, and P is grateful for that. They need a steadying presence like him here.

That's a reasonable way of looking at things. I was wondering where we should... situate ourselves before we fall asleep. Not that it matters, but... in case we get moved around or something...

[ Dainsleif is more than glad to provide...in fact, he's considering the words spoken to him in clear carefulness, at that. ]

Last time Raikou and I made it a point to position ourselves near the door for in hopes of being roused if there were an intruder who had activated the trap.

While we can't assume that placing ourselves somewhere will be helpful in awakening in the event of a targeted attack, it will tell a story of some sort. Especially if someone tries anything suspect beyond killing someone else.

[ Like the way Noelle attempted to frame some people. ]

Yeah. I'm thinking more of the latter. If there's a way to tell if there's a way we've been messed with, if we wake up.

[Again, like how Noelle tried to frame people, yes.]

Like... making sure you fall asleep with your arms crossed a certain way, for example.

[Tsukasa is here! Of course he's here, Raikou is here.

He's, of course, a little antsy. He mostly just paces around... tugs a book off of a shelf... flips through it... puts it back... paces some more... rinse and repeat.

It's Thursday night, who could blame him.]

[ the second time tsukasa flips through a book and starts to pace, raikou is stealing his hand. ]

I'm going to quiz you on the next book you "read" like that. [ who can blame him--

--the trick is to be nervous on the inside and not show it on the outside! ]

He doesn't complain when Raikou snags his hand, though he does breathe out a heavy sigh.]

I think I can do better than a book, don't you think?

[ all teasing, but he's making circles on tsukasa's hand with his fingers. ]

Do you want to talk or play a game?

[aspirings]

[Better than pacing some more, so.]

A game? Did you have something in mind?

Well if it's just the two of us we could play shirotori or cat's cradle, but I'll warn you that's a specialty of mine.

[ me scrambling for things that can be done in rp. ]

We could play "Never have I ever" if other people want to join in, though I didn't bring any beer...

[Honestly... no one can blame him. Pinocchio doesn't really suffer from nervousness the same way most others do, but even he can feel that small thread of anxiety creeping through him — the anticipation of knowing what'll happen soon but not knowing how it'll take place.

Still, he can try to offer some company. Maybe it'll help them both.

Waiting is the worst part, isn't it?

[He does appreciate the company, honestly; Pinocchio gets a lopsided but sincere smile when he does. Tsukasa just... pops the book he was holding back into place.]

Yes. I'd like to believe nothing will happen tonight, but...

[The past weeks have proven otherwise.]

I know. I hate not feeling like we have any control over it.

[Even back home, he could at least take to the streets and fight. Here? Not so much. It is either sleep... or awaken, apparently, to a dire fate.]

I think the best we can do now is stay close to each other and find better ways to pass the time.

[aspirings]

[A deep breath in, and he heaves out a heavy sigh.]

You're right. I don't want my antsiness to bother everyone else, too.

[ Dainsleif is nearby, and seeing Tsukasa pacing around makes him want to speak up. ]

[Everyone here is so calm and then there's Tsukasa, vibrating.]

[ Tsukasa is like that person with people in a room standing and he is vibrating like a macarena at high speed.

[ Please imagination him using something close to the thinker pose as he considers this. He is just going to...pick a subject at random. ]

What do you most like about singing?

[aspirings]

[Dainsleif is the best... just casually offering himself up as A Distraction.

Tsukasa blinks at the question, but brings a hand to his chin as he thinks.]

Hm! That's a good question. It's fun, of course. [That's the easiest reason.] And I do enjoy musicals, and the way that singing can convey many things about the character to the audience!

So I suppose those two things would be my favorite when it comes to singing.
